: I was able to modify the stone dragons in tr2 and replace them with the treasure found in Tr1 level 2
Kool! I was thinking how hard that would be to do...and it works
ok? I was able to change the TR2 "Skidoo" masked(semi-transparent) door
to a TR1 level1 "bamboo door" for my RTV level..
I added another tile page to the level's .bmp & tried to make
new transparent textures on this page.it didn't work.
I've had no problem taking an existing masked texture &
changing it w/ Jack & photoshop ...
and i was also able to make a new tiger, well sort of , i made the eyes red and made him have stone parts on it, i'll call it Stone Tiger.
Alright! I was wondering how hard it would be to turn a Tiger into a
Jaguar...? (sounds like lots of work...)
I some of you dont know this, use Jack, extract 24 bit textures, modify it anyway by opening the level bmp , then import it back to 24 bit textures and save the file, (i'm not sure if you dont need to do the same with the 8-bit texture file.
I think that you may have to, if you want them to show up in Rview..
(that is, if you've "really changed" the texture) otherwise, it'll
still show what was on the 8 bit .bmp level file in Rview. an example:
for my TR2 VilcaBamba level, I put the same textures in both files; I
needed to, so that I could use Rview to see them as I was placing them.
otherwise, Rview would still be showing me those TR2 "Skidoo" textures
that I didn't want...
