A spray effect can include any kind of liquid, from water (like in a hose or faucet), to blood spurting out of character's missing limb, or even urine.
Spray effects are usually particles but may be actual 3D objects too (though particle effects can certainly include 3D objects vs. just sprites (as Active Worlds can do).
