I checked it and after walking through some 'lava' tr1 levels I think the only fire in tr1 is the 'kill Lara' thing. She drops down by fire when walking on an animated Lava ground. Also Some old savegame editors (TombEdit) can select/deselect 'Lara is on fire'in tr2/tr3, but for tr1 this is not possible...
So no Fire.
After walking through the levels, I saw some Lava coming up (from sprites list) (at start of Atlantean Stronghold level), is there a way to do this with the new sprite-adding feature?

She could pull a moveable block under the switch, and then climb on it and pull the switch. (like seen in some tr1 levels)

Don't know if there's a portal in the ceiling it adds the trapdoor correctly. But also the normal doors should be possible to add in a wall, high up in the room. By jumping she can jump in the now open corridor.
