Thanks. I just noticed some probs on the TR3 item labels I need to check.
Also some pecular behavior on alt room and items. I have been working on
what you suggested before about a seperate file format that would let you
re-edit then re-combine the tritem changes. Would mean that only new rooms
could be added and any change to old floor data would not hold in sectors
that had triggers or items added. I need to rework a lot of code for that.
For some items such as number_of_things I just wrote to the memory file.
For others I used arrays.
What I was thinking, IF the textiles were not altered, the room data
could be zipped, downloaded, and then recombined with the downloader's
original level textiles. Would mean a 400k download would give you a
HUGE level. Or if the textiles were changed, just the changes could be
saved and recombined later.
The ultimate would be to have a .TRE file, a .TRI file and maybe a
.TEX file , download and recombine with original level.
The idea of having full levels up for download is kinda gray.
Putting together a bigger test level myself, before was just using
a one room level. Am really appreciating the work you did on your end.
Talk to you later...
