I send Turbo Pascal a mail a few days ago with some questions in it regarding the new Treditor and other updates. He asked me to add his answers on this forum, because it contains interesting information. Here it is:

NEW RVIEW AND TREDITOR?:
Ok look, VISUALY you will not see nothing new,
treditor
dont' has "about" dialog, and i was not update the
"about" dialog on rview, and there is not new
controls.
but internaly the EXE was some bug fixed, the new
TREDIROR now will apply the lights intensities for
tr2/tr3, and now the pools on tr3 are well
implemented, so Lara can go out from the pool.

The TR3 files are so big from tr1, for example the
maximun textures object on tr1 was about 1,000
textures
but now in tr3 the maximun textures object is about
3,000.
i like to use statics arrays in my program, so
when i supported tr3 files my arrays was overflowed,
and my program was unable to open any tr3 from CD,
just
some few files, so i expanded the limits arrays, so it
seems that now my program can open any tr2/tr3 file,
but now the program need a lot of memory, about 32mb
RAM. so i think that it is not good idea to open
rview, treditor, and tr3 game at the same time if you
dont have enough ram.

RVIEW TEXTURE BUGS:
Well, sometimes when the room is first loaded the
textures dont'look well, but when you move or rotate
the room it is showed well.
Also, the TR engine use any texture size, but the
OPENGL engine only work with power of 2 sizes textures
width/heights.

RVIEW TEXTURE ROTATE OPTION:
For Rview, it now open/save well any tr2/tr3 (i think)
and i add the rotate rutine, (ALT+CLICK).

NO NEW ADDPAGE, ATEXTURE ETC:
Sorry about that, i believe that the post "new
atexture", "new trpages" etc. are from the first time
that he post that.
Each time that he update the page this lines are just
moved from position, but are the same old text lines.

I am not updating those programs, (trpages, addpages,
atexture), because for tr2/tr3 it is needed to update
the 8 bit and 16 bit version, and right now i dont
have
16 bit bitmap routines.
That is why i want that E. popov or Steffan, help Us
in this topic, adding in his programs a way to add
more new textures pages and to define new animated
textures on the phd/tr2/tr3 files.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NOW?
I realy, realy, realy don't know,
my original plan was to finished the Editor for tr1
but
then one morning i whished to add tr2/tr3 support, but
make me the thing a litle dificult, because i have to
deal with stuf not availible on all TR version, but
hey man! the TR3 engine is great!.

I will try to add the 3d interface now, i hope i will
be sucessfull, also i will add colored faces for the
tr3 engine, climb wall and monkey swangibility. :-)

ENEMYS AND COMMANDS:
Well, the levels are not fun without enemys and
commans on in, but this are hard features,
it is not just puting a anemy, this it is ease, but
also it is needed to define a "enemys path" without
this the enemy can move on the room; thanks to Rosseta
Stone i know where in the the "enemy paths" is defined
but i am not so sure how it work, so i need time to
figure out.

UPDATES:
I am not sending this updates to Eep2 because this are
minor updates, but i will send to him with a update
manual when the editor get better.
Meanwhile stay tuned with the treditor web site, more
surprise can come.

Also i realy want feedback for the Treditor and Rview,

Maybe you can make me a favor a post this letter in
the forum, i think that other peoples will like this
info.
