I'm halfway through the writing of a texture and sprite list editor.
This will take a texture strip extracted by Jack and will extract the
list from a level file, and either permit editing the texture list or
the making of a complete new list to go with completely new levels.
This list could be saved as a standalone work-in-progress document
and later inserted into a level.
However, someone asked some time ago (can't remember who) if there
was an utility that would show all areas of a texture strip that were
used by polygons, sprites and objects.
Mine shows all textured that are in the texture list (sprites are not
done yet) and each can be selected individually or in combinations
for illustration.
The application can be downloaded from my site. There is no link to
the file: just type EXACTLY the URL:
and the download will start. Warning, the thing weights in at 2 Megs.
It took me 15 min around midnight to do it.
