the shot youŽve posted looks quite a little like the floor remodelling I did in my actual level. I did this before RE38 features appear in TRItem and therefore used the nearest slope/block for collision data and rised or lowered one corner.
The effect is the one showed in your picture. Another _unwanted_ one is that the texture will disappear sometimes (belongs to the angle you look at it). I started experimenting w/ splitting up the rectangle into triangles what makes things better a little. Not thru this at all, still looking for some kind of 'rule', a specific angle you can use for distorting a tile w/out the above mentionned effect.
