There are already virtual universities in Internet, where e-mail and webpages are used for educational purposes.
AW is a virtual reality environment where every object can be a hyperlink, like www in 3D; technology that will spread in the future. Links can point to pages and files made with many different kind of technologies. In a virtual environment a link can be in an object that represents its content in a natural and intuitive way.
AW is a normal Windows 95/NT program and can be used at the same time with special programs like
Links to downloading them, as well as some examples of using them, can be found in Cubed.If the lession, student etc databases of IVE are programmed so that they can be operated through a www interface, links to them can be put in the world as well.
The content of the world can be expanded as www technology improves.
In the future it may be possible to customize the content somewhat for each visitor, so that he gets information relevant to him upon entering the campus.
When AW allows "bots" or automatic programmed avatars, a welcoming and instructing bot can be placed at Ground Zero.
The world can be expanded, or new worlds made for new faculties, and then linked to IVE simply with teleports.
